Overall Purpose of the Job:

The Account Manager will manage a core team and interact with other role-players within the Fidelity Security Group to ensure that all service delivery, planning, scheduling, co-ordination, material and resource planning, documentation, costs, timeframes, and quality are within customer expectations and within budget.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Detailed understanding of risk and relevant mitigation techniques
  • Understanding of training techniques within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience managing complex and multi-dimensional environments
  • Matric (minimum requirement); tertiary qualification preferred
  • Technical understanding of electronic security systems
  • People management experience at various levels
  • Computer Literate (MS office, email, Internet – essential)
  • Role requires flexible or extended hours
  • Own transport
  • PSIRA registration
  • Knowledge of security and health and safety legislation
  • Be prepared to submit to vetting procedures on an ongoing basis

Main Duties:

  • It will be required of the incumbent within the position to:
  • collaborate and communicate with all role players within multiple matrix organisations;
  • ensure teamwork and achievement of objectives of internal teams and retail clients;
  • ensure all standards are adhered to and that the retail client’s needs are efficiently and professionally met at all times
  • Manage the Project Universal budget and staff dedicated to the project
  • Oversee all Fidelity Security Group responsibilities
  • Build and retain working relationships with retail executives and staff
  • Develop a scope of work for each resource and task, manage the scope and define required results of elements of the project
  • Accountable for the financial success and customer satisfaction of engagements under direction
  • Recruit, train and assign internal and external resources to the project
  • Ensure secure, safe, efficient and customer- oriented handling of the operations and customer service
  • Manage a project risk register
  • Adherence to relevant legislation and procedures
  • Identify, build, and manage long-term relationships with retail clients, other Fidelity Security Group roles players and strategic partners
  • Execute on project tasks
  • Provide team leadership, mentorship, and support, ensuring effective use of all resources, including people and assets, enabling the Fidelity Security Group to achieve and exceed performance objectives
  • Manage required quality and standards within the project
  • Draft, update and report on project plans and progress
  • Support and facilitate feedback and corrective action plans on operational shortcomings
  • Travel to various sites on a National basis
  • Ensure systems are available and functional to manage data flows within the project
  • Liaise with Fidelity departments to execute on the Project deliverables to required standards
  • Be ‘passionate’ about FAT capabilities and opportunities for impacting integrated security solutions for retail clients
  • Ensure the investigation and reporting of all losses occurring on client sites under management
  • Act as a Regional Security Manager in a specific geography
