Vacancy Details

We are currently looking for an HR Assistant for our Cape Town office. Below is a guideline of the role and responsibilities, qualifications and requirements.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting with Graduate Recruitment of Trainees and young professionals at schools and universities
  • Assisting with recruitment of permanent staff for all departments in RSM South Africa Incorporated and RSM SA Consulting (Pty)Ltd
  • Assisting with new joiners and the collection of all related documentation for payroll and filing purposes
  • Assisting with the auditing of staff files to ensure data is relevant, up to date and complete
  • Assisting the Audit Staff and Office Administrator with HR matters relating to Trainees and potential Trainees
  • Assisting the Regional Head of HR with daily HR tasks and projects
  • Preparation for first years and compiling New Joiner packs
  • Assist with the interviewing process, including exit interviews
  • Assist with performance appraisal tasks
  • Assist with preparation for SAICA and IRBA visits and inspections as well as BEE audits
  • Ensure Workplace Skills Plan and EE details are updated regularly for annual submission
  • Arrange training when requested
  • Filing and record keeping
  • Ensuring all staff records, minutes and discussion records are kept up to date.
  • Assist in arranging corporate events, meetings and appointments.

Candidate Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Computer literacy: MS Office suites.
  • Educational level: Degree & Honours in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Attention to detail i.e. accuracy essential.
  • High energy level.
  • Good judgment
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be self-reliant, self-motivated, take responsibility and have a sense of pride in their work
  • Must be able to be work independently, as well as be a team player
