Qualifications / Requirements:

  • University Degree / National Diploma in Management, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Office Management, Procurement and Administration
  • Experience in supervising staff
  • Knowledge of Labour laws, Government regulations, and legal codes
  • Fluency in written and oral English and Xhosa is essential
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening skills and collaborative management style
  • Proven ability to identify and develop processes and procedures where necessary
  • Ability to undertake limited travel within the province, as necessary

Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage office start-up and day-to-day operations:
  • Develop and implement administrative workflows, procedures, and standard quality controls
  • Manage company’s office lease in Mthatha and maintain office management systems
  • Purchase office equipment and furniture and maintain stock inventory
  • Oversee maintenance of office equipment
  • Oversee the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of office facilities
  • Ensure that the contractor monitors, maintains, and updates computer systems and networks, as well as provides responses to systems assistance in a timely manner to service issues and user request
  • Human Resources:
  • Coordinate recruitment, selection, and orientation of new staff with the support of Team Leader
  • Keep abreast of labour legislation and manage employee relations
  • Provide logistical and administrative support :
  • Provide logistical support for events, conferences, and workshops including arranging refreshments and venues and maintaining meetings calendar
