Vacancy Details

Performance Colour Systems, a Division of Ferro SA invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Production Clerk, to be based at their offices in Meadowdale, later to move to Brakpan. This role will report to the Cost Accountant.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with relevant departments to update and or design Bill of Materials and Manufacturing routings to calculate standard costs
  • Performing standard cost updates in the system and transferring costs to relevant sites
  • Maintaining the current BOM’s in the system
  • Generating new production cards
  • Capture all goods from production
  • Track and close works orders timeously
  • Review, analyse and report yield analysis and factory efficiency anomalies to the Cost Accountant for resolution
  • Feed information to the yield report and reconcile
  • Daily intercompany purchases
  • Co-ordination of monthly reporting to ensure timely submission of information to the Cost accountant
  • Delivery of high quality financial and management reports as required by operations daily, weekly, and monthly basis these include:
  • Daily production
  • Monthly rejects and rework burden
  • Consumables and Spares & Consumables
  • Stock take variances
  • Other reports as needed by operations
  • Monitor WIP for accuracy and reasonableness
  • Assisting with production area stock counts to improve stock accuracies and investigate issues that may arise
  • Performing stock adjustments in Sage after the stock take has been concluded
  • Maintain filing and document storage for accuracy and to maximize data availability
  • Assist supervisors/managers and team members with identifying material availability within the production site.
  • Notwithstanding the description of the above duties, you may be asked to perform other duties not specified here that will be relevant to your position.

  • admin : 2 to 3 years
  • excel : 2 to 3 years
  • sage : 2 to 3 years

Candidate Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with Accounting and Business Studies will be an advantage
  • 1-2 years experience in a Manufacturing Admin Environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excel Intermediate
  • Sage
  • Outlook and Word
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures and ability to operate most standard office equipment
  • Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience, resolving in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, establish priorities, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in Sage would be an added advantage
