Vacancy Details

Key areas of responsibility

– Planning, Packing & Exporting of citrus fruit.

• Ensure that hourly and daily production and quality targets are met
• Overseeing of production processes
• Supervise and motivate team and identify necessary training
• Overseeing mixing of wax chemicals and post-harvest chemicals
• Ensure that the BRC standards are follow (international standards)
• Health and safety guidelines are followed.
• Record all relevant production and technical data
• Effective control of all employees relative disciplinary, grievance and absenteeism related matters
• Present daily production progress and planning reports
• Manage the fruit degreening process.
• Logistics between Farms and Packhouse.

Candidate Requirements

• Requirements:
• The candidate must have passed Grade 12 (Matric)
• Formal qualification in production / operations management
• will be an advantage
• Minimum of (5) years’ experience managing a team of over 160 people in production environment
• Good people management.
• Computer literacy
• Experience of compact sizing machine will be an advantage
• Experience of paltrack system will be advantage
• Knowledge of quality of fruit, defects and standards of different markets.
• Good communication skills
